Each holiday season, we proudly partner with school districts across Stanislaus County to create a memorable and meaningful experience for students and their families.
Through a carefully coordinated surprise event, scholars are invited to enjoy a festive morning filled with hot cocoa, cookies, holiday activities, and photos with Santa. The highlight of the day comes when students—many of whom have faced hardships—are surprised with thoughtful, personalized gifts from Santa and his team.
What began as a small act of giving has grown into a cherished tradition that uplifts, encourages, and celebrates the potential of every child. By bringing together educators, volunteers, and community partners, Santa for Scholars ensures that each scholar feels seen, supported, and loved during the holiday season.
Our mission is powered by volunteers! From shopping and wrapping to event setup and Santa’s helpers, we welcome individuals, families, and groups who want to give their time.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and rely entirely on donations from individuals, families, and businesses. Every dollar goes directly toward creating magical, personalized holiday experiences for students.
We work directly with schools throughout Stanislaus County to identify students who could benefit from a little extra holiday cheer.
"I have had the privilege of volunteering with Santa for scholars, an incredible nonprofit that provides Christmas gifts for students in need throughout Stanislaus County. Each year, I help wrap and shop for these gifts, and it’s truly one of the most rewarding experiences.
I work closely with the founder, a passionate and compassionate educator whose love for her students and community shines through everything she does. Her dedication is truly inspiring.
Over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the positive impact Santa for Scholars has had—not only on my former students but also on our entire school community. Seeing the joy on the children’s faces, the tears of gratitude from families, and the overwhelming sense of appreciation reminds me of the real meaning of giving. My heart is always full, and I feel incredibly thankful to be a part of this amazing organization."

"I am in awe of the beautiful experience we were given; thanks to you all. December had been a hard month for us. I had missed work due to having had covid at the beginning of December, and my son had gotten sick, so we were out of school and work and had a rough December. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful gifts that my child received. The Christmas event that was put together for the children was lovely. We were greeted by cheerful teachers and office staff. The event had hot chocolate, cookies, and an art area for the children. My son was ecstatic when he learned he would be able to meet Santa; he was so excited. He hopped, jumped, and skipped the whole time he waited, and he was so full of joy. The event was full of Christmas spirit and cheer. We were truly blessed to have experienced it and so thankful. My son was able to have an extra special Christmas. I was touched by all my family’s love and support for Christmas. My son enjoyed all his gifts and was filled with Christmas joy. It brought tears to my eyes knowing that such thoughtful, caring, and supportive people with such big hearts in the community put this together for our families. I am genuinely grateful that everything was done, and the memories from it will last forever. Seeing my son’s joy from the event and meeting, Santa will always be held near and dear to my heart."
